In 1992 the Select Vestry of Shankill Parish Church took a decision to devolve the management of the range of activities that it had developed, to the Shankill Parish Caring Association (SPCA).
The (SPCA) was established as a Company Limited by guarantee and accepted as a charity by the Inland Revenue in 1996.
The Caring Association's main aim and objective is to promote the wellbeing of the inhabitants of Lurgan and its environs and to promote the Christan faith among them.
The SPCA is controlled and managed by a Board of Directors made up of Community and Church Representatives.
