Palms is a partnership between The Southern Health Trust and The Shankill Parish Caring Association, which offers a respite service to 16 elderly people for 3 days per week. The clients are referred to the service by The Health Trust's social work team following an assessment process.
Those who attend The Palms take part in programmes such as crafts, reading, quizzes and chair based sports which are organized by the day care staff who are all NVQ trained.
The Palms is located at The Jethro Centre in a dedicated unit designed for the purpose of seniors ministry.
